전남대학교 시스템 보안연구센터는 산학 일체형 연구교육모델을 통하여 " 정보보호 기술을 선도하는 우수 인재 양성의 요람 ”을
기치로 2000년 설립되었습니다.
본 연구센터는 지난 20년 남짓 기간 동안 “리눅스 기반 분산 시스템 보안기술 개발” “차세대 침입감내, 방지 및 대응 시스템 기술개발”
등에 대한 연구 및 정보보호 산업체들과의 공동연구를 통하여 리눅스 보안기술과 컴퓨터 포렌직 기술 등을 이전하였고, 여러 기술들을
국내외에서 특허출원 및 등록하였습니다. 또한, 외국에 비해 상대적으로 연구가 미비한 유비쿼터스 보안 분야에서 컨텍스트에 대한
체계적인 연구를 기반으로 하여 유비쿼터스 플랫폼 보안에 대한 선두적인 연구를 진행하였습니다.
최근 정보통신기술의 발달로 사람과 사람, 사람과 사물, 사물과 사물이 인터넷을 기반으로 긴밀히 연결되고 있다. 이와 동시에 개인정보와 정보통신망의 보안을 위협하는 사이버 공격들이 증가하면서, 사이버 위협을 예측하고 대응할 수 있는 체계가 요구되고 있습니다.
이러한 시대적 요구에 맞추어 시스템보안연구센터는 인공지능 알고리즘을 적용한 컴퓨터 네트워크 보안 기술과 사물 인터넷 기기를 대상으로 하는 보안 연구를 수행한다. 특히 정보보안 산업체 및 국가보안 기관과 공동으로 인공지능 보안 기술을 고도화하는 과제를 수행하고 있습니다.
2019년에는 과학기술정보통신부의 융합보안대학원에 선정되어 향후 6년간 에너지 신산업에 특화된 융합 보안 전문가를 양성합니다. 해당 사업에는 한국전력공사, 한전KDN, 한국전력거래소, 안랩, 윈스테크넷 등 11개의 기업 및 기관들이 참여하며, 참여기관들과 융합 보안 분야의 인재를 배출하기 위한 교육과정 및 산학 협력 프로젝트를 함께 개발하고 운영합니다.
지역전략산업인 에너지신산업 보안 분야 연구 활성화를 위해, 융합보안대학원 교육과정 개발 및 운영뿐만 아니라, 2020년부터 전국 규모의 “에너지ICT융합보안 해킹대회”를 매년 개최하여 융합보안인력 양성에 기여하고 있습니다.
2022년 3월부터는 데이터사이언스와 보안을 융합한 연구분야를 추가하여 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

At the same time, as cyber -attacks that threaten the security of personal information and information networks are increasing, a system for predicting and responding to cyber threats is required.
In response to these demands, the System Security Research Center conducts security research on computer network security technology and the Internet of Things devices using Artificial Intelligence algorithms. In particular, it is working with the information security industry and national security organizations to advance the Artificial Intelligence security technology.
In 2019, the center was selected as the Graduate School of Convergence Security by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The center will train security expert who specialize in the new energy industry over the next six years. Eleven companies and organizations including KEPCO, KEPCO Knowledge, Data & Network, Korea Power Exchange, AhnLab and Wins Technet will participate in the project. The center develops training courses and operates industry-academic cooperation projects with partner organizations in order to cultivate human resources in the field of energy security.
In order to revitalize research in the new energy industry, a regional strategic industry, not only the development and operation of the graduate school of convergence security curriculum, but also the nation-wide “energy ICT convergence security hacking contest” has been held annually since 2020, contributing to nurturing convergence security personnel. .
As of 2021, the System Security Research Center consist of 1 full-time professor, 6 participating professors, and 8 researchers.
